The global ICT landscape is evolving rapidly, creating both opportunities and challenges for the region. Addressing gaps in 5G, spectrum management, licensing, and cybersecurity is critical to ensure sustainable growth and competitiveness. In collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT), MCMC Academy has introduced targeted training initiatives to close these gaps and harmonise regulatory practices across Asia-Pacific. Endorsed by the Ministry of Communications, these programmes align with Malaysia’s vision to be the ASEAN Communications and Multimedia (C&M) Talent Hub by 2026, while advancing a digitally skilled workforce. Through APT, MCMC Academy convenes regulators, policymakers, industry leaders, and academics to share knowledge, strengthen capacity, and foster collaboration on 5G and emerging technologies.
